Serving Children with Down Syndrome

After much prayer and many hours of planning, it is a pleasure to announce the Rock Creek campus will continue expanding programming to include children with Down syndrome. Applications are now being accepted for the 2016-2017 school year for placement in the four-year-old junior academy and elementary classrooms.

Today, the Louisville metro area offers limited choices in educational opportunities for families touched by Down syndrome. It has long been a desire of Christian Academy to offer these families the blessings of a Christian educational experience. By further expanding our outreach, Christian Academy will provide a much needed service within our community. In addition, existing students will have life-changing opportunities through academic, spiritual, and social interactions with our new students.

We ask for your prayers as we serve children with Down syndrome and their families. This is a wonderful opportunity, and God has opened many doors and provided resources enabling Rock Creek to serve this community need. As followers of Christ, we are challenged to lead by his example and serve others. This school is just one of the exciting ways Rock Creek is reaching out to our community.

There are many untold blessings ahead for our faculty, students and families. And our prayer is we, in turn, become a blessing to new families - families of children who have Down syndrome.

Blessed beyond measure,

Krystal Morrow | Elementary Principal
Kelly Stinnett | Junior Academy Director
