Race for Education - COLOR RUN 2019

On Friday, April 26, the CAL PTO will hold its 7th Annual Race for Education and 2nd COLOR RUN. Students can run, walk, or jog and have a blast getting powdered in color. This event is designed to engage the elementary and middle school students in a fitness initiative, encourage a fun outdoor activity, and raise funds for the school.

Color Run Proceeds

This year, the race proceeds will fund a major expansion to the cafeteria. This will allow us to accommodate more students, offer better lunchtimes for elementary studentsand be more efficient in getting students to the lunch tables faster; thus giving everyone MORE TIME to enjoy their meal.

We will also gain a new space that can be used for large conferences, meetings and team fellowship. Plus update the aging kitchen equipment with more energy efficient options and expand the kitchen area to offer a variety of healthy food options.

Family, friends, or anyone can donate to your student, a class, a middle school house, or to the overall race initiative. They can click on a preset amount that is listed on your student’s donation page or they can enter an amount of their choice. Only donations made to the student’s or middle school house donation page will count towards prizes.

Please let us know if your family or business would like to partner with the CAL PTO to help sponsor the COLOR RUN. This is a great blessing to assist us in keeping our costs low and raise more funds towards our goal. Please contact the PTO office at 244-3225 x1089 or email us at ptoes@caschools.us

We need volunteers to assist our race team on April 26th. Please consider volunteering and helping make the COLOR RUN a great day for the students. Volunteer for the race:

Elementary Student & Class Prizes

Elementary students can earn fun COLOR RU apparel, prizes, and other colorful items to wear on race day! Prizes are cumulative and will be earned as each level is reached.

Middle School House Prizes

The House that raises the most donations will WIN an ice cream sundae bar and a dress down day. Students will be able to wear CAL approved athletic knee length shorts (i.e., basketball style shorts), sweat pants, jeans, flip flops and sandals too. Please refer to the CAL handbook for alternate dress day guidelines.
