MS/HS PARENT MEETING

The CAL Middle School and High School Counseling Departments are pleased to offer an important informational parent event on:

Understanding the Middle School and High School Social Experience on Monday, October 30th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the English Station Auditorium.

The social life of pre-teens and teenagers can be difficult to navigate.  Students today are significantly influenced by their digital involvement with social media, gaming, and messaging. This digital influence can bring with it a unique set of challenges.  As parents, it is important to be aware of how to navigate student conflict and to stay up-to-date with the latest technology to encourage healthy boundaries and usage for your student.

Topics will include:

-Understanding social conflict

-Trending social media sites

-Digital reputation and why it matters

-Legal issues surrounding social media use

Please RSVP to pherl@caschools.us or msreception@caschools.us by Wednesday, October 25th if you would like to attend.

PTO has graciously contributed to the purchase of 100 Operation Parenthandbooks to be given at the door to the first 100 families.  Additional handbookswill be available for purchase.
