MISSIONS YARD SALE

Congratulations to four seventh grade students on raising $700.00 in a Yard Sale on Saturday 9/22!  The money will go towards our October Missions Project which is packing meals for people in Haiti who are less fortunate than we are.

CALMS SERVICE PROJECT, OCTOBER 23 AND 24

Each CALMS student is asked to raise $20.00 for our service project this year which is packing and sending 50,000 meals to people in Haiti who are less fortunate than we are. Students are asked to raise this money by "serving" others.  For example:  they could mow someone's lawn, clean a family member's house or even have a yard sale (like four of our 7th grade students did!).  The idea is for the students to be creative in thinking of a way to raise the money.  Students are asked to bring their money in beginning the week of October 1st and give it to their 1st Block teacher.  We are also hoping to raise an additional $11,000.00 through church and business donations to produce a total of 100,000 meals.  If you know of a church or business that might be interested, Mr. Hibbard would be glad to come and speak to them. You can contact Mr. Hibbard at (bhibbard@caschools.us).
