Daily Announcements


Takes place every Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.  The Prayer Time will take place in the Middle School Office Conference Room.  All students and staff are welcome!


Middle School Chapel takes place every Thursday from 9:50 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.  in the English Station Auditorium.  Family is always welcome to attend.  If you do come, please enter through the MAIN ENTRANCE of the school and check in with the receptionist at the front desk.  The middle school office CLOSES during Chapel time and therefore is not able to answer the middle school door (#19).


Will take place on November 14, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. in the Auditorium.  All students are welcome!

Christian Academy of Louisville Middle School (CALMS) is partnering with LifeLine Christian Mission to pack nutritious meals for children and families impacted by hunger and malnutrition.  One packaged bag can provide a hungry child up to 6 meals.  The meals are rice-based and contain a combination of vitamins, plant-based proteins, dehydrated vegetables and nutrients that provide about 75% of a child's daily requirement for a healthy diet.  

Our goal is to pack 60,000 meals in two days (October 22nd and October 23rd).  To meet this goal, we need to raise $15,000.00 in financial support.  We are asking each student to raise $30.00 by doing some sort of service (babysitting, cleaning the house, raking leaves, etc.)  We are hoping each House can raise $2,500.00 to support this mission project.  The money the students raise can be turned into the middle school office. Parents were also e-mailed a letter from Mr. Hibbard with a link (calmsmealsforhaiti.raisely.com) for parents to use and post on Facebook, Twitter and send to families and friends who would be willing to donate on-line.  The winning House will receive a prize and the student who raises the most will also receive a prize.

8th Grade will be packing meals in the Blue Gym on Tuesday, 10/22 from 1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.  Students are to wear their House shirt and jeans.

6th Grade will be packing meals in the Blue Gym on Wednesday, 10/23 from 9:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. If House shirts have not arrived, students can wear any CAL shirt with jeans.

7th Grade will be packing meals in the Blue Gym on Wednesday, 10/23 from 1:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.  Students are to wear their House shirt and jeans.


The House of Servitas is challenging each House to have as much participation and raise the most money possible for our meal packing service project (60,000 meals in two days - October 22 and October 23) for children and families in Haiti.  

At the end of the month, the top three individual earners will get to pie Mr. Hibbard (1st place), Mr. Matthies (2nd place), and a teacher of their choice (with the teacher's permission) 3rd place.  The House with the most participated will be served pie by House Servitas at a pie party.  Every week, beginnin on October 14th, the team in the lead by Wednesday afternoon, will earn a dress down day on Thursday.  


The Middle School Girls Basketball Team is collecting toys/gifts for "The Heart of Chance Toy Chest, Inc."  This organization distributes toys/gifts to local childrens hospitals and facilities.  They are collecting books, games, dolls, trucks, blankets, etc.  They are asking for NEW items only.  There is a donation box in the middle school office.  Collection will take place until October 31st.

VETERANS DAY CHAPEL - November 7, 2019

On Thursday, November 7, the middle school students will present a special Veterans Day Chapel Service honoring all of the men and women who have served our country, focusing on the soldiers in our own English Station Middle School families.

As a part of this program, there will be a special slideshow in honor of veterans who are related to our students. If you have a picture of a veteran that you would like to be honored at this service, please use the Veterans Form to submit a photo and information no later than Friday, October 25. If you have problems or questions, you may contact Mrs. Hall, the Middle School receptionist, at shall@caschools.us. If you submitted a picture last year, rest assured it will be updated and appear in the presentation.

The photo needs to be less than 10mb in order to go through our web system. If you are unsure of the size of your picture, contact Mrs. Hall directly. Due to the large number of submissions each year, we will need to enforce the October 25, cutoff.

If submitting a picture by this date will be a problem or if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hall. We do hope to have you join us for the service even if you are not able to submit a picture.

There will be a reception in the Grand Hallway before the service from 8 a.m. until the service begins at 9 a.m. To RSVP for the reception, please email Dallas Vandiver, Spiritual Life Coordinator, at dvandiver@caschools.us with your name and the number of guests attending by Friday, November 1.
