Christian Academy’s Hurricane Relief Drive for North Carolina, October 17-30
The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and Milton has profoundly affected many, leaving overwhelming needs in their wake. We’re truly grateful for your inquiries about how our community of believers can come together to support one another during this difficult time.
In fact, please know how much we appreciate your patience as we’ve worked to develop a thoughtful plan to respond to this crisis. It is our belief that our collective efforts to serve and love those in need will bring glory to the Lord when we stand united as one. With this in mind, both our Indiana and English Station Campuses are going to work together and launch a Hurricane Relief Drive for North Carolina starting today.

The need is urgent and there are specific items that can make a difference right away. You can find a list of these items here. The relief drive will run from October 17-30, and we’ve set up designated drop-off locations on each campus to ensure a smooth process for donations. (The drop off locations are also listed on the flyer linked above.)
As we come together in love and support for those specifically impacted in North Carolina, let us also keep all those impacted in our prayers. While the loss of material possessions is significant, the loss of loved ones weighs even heavier. May our prayers and contributions serve to bring hope and the message of the Gospel to many during this difficult time.

His work with the high school yearbook is all consuming and regularly goes unnoticed. Whether it is sponsoring a club for yard games in the afternoon or simply keeping his door open for students, Mr. Krebs is absolutely ALL IN!

Election Season Devotional #3
Christian Academy Statement: As we enter into another election season, we want to remind our school community that the Christian Academy School System is partisan only to the Bible and our shared Biblical and Foundational Statements. We support each person’s right to vote as led by God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. In keeping with our school, parent and employee partnership commitment, we have agreed to treat our neighbors with respect and honor, as fellow image bearers of God, including engaging in responsible discourse. Christian Academy is firmly dedicated to promoting unity rather than divisiveness in all aspects, including politics.
With this statement in mind, I want to introduce the third of four devotional thoughts on how we, as Christians, can positively affect our community. I have found that during times of disagreement I struggle with when to be the voice of truth versus living at peace. One thing that helps me is to remind myself of the person I am speaking to and consider their background, experiences and, maybe most importantly, their faith walk.
Dr. Becky Wiley, Director of Spiritual Formation, (bwiley@caschools.us) shares her thoughts and reflections on how we can strive to live at peace when we are bombarded with divisive messages with three weeks left before the election. She also asks, “What will God’s Kingdom look like the day after the election?”

Michael Conley has gone above and beyond as a middle school leader and a servant. He is always willing to help other teachers in need, he forms meaningful relationships with his students and he models a Christlike lifestyle.

Alexi Ahner
She “leads by example” daily from the moment she arrives till the time she completes her day (which includes mentoring and tutoring students). She leads our Math Department – helping to support staff and students in all areas. She thinks through the impact that we want through our planning and preparation. She leads our HOUSES. She is one of the founding teachers of the CALMS House program! She leads our 8th grade teachers. She is new in this role but has already made an impact. We are thankful!

2025-2026 Priority Admission for Siblings of Current Families
We are thankful that our Christian Academy families have chosen to partner with us for their child’s Christian education and we want to continue to serve our families well. Current, continuously enrolled students will remain enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year. There is no action needed to continue enrollment.
However, we would like to remind families that if you have a child that is not currently enrolled and will be a new incoming student at Christian Academy for the 2025-2026 school year, please submit a 2025-2026 application online as soon as possible. It is always our desire to give siblings of current students priority consideration so now is the time to submit an application for the upcoming school year. If you have already submitted an application, we are thankful you desire to continue our partnership!
Also, if your child is currently in Junior Academy PK4 and you plan for your child to enter kindergarten at Christian Academy in the fall 2025, you will need to apply for kindergarten now. This is the one grade that does not continuously enroll.
We are thankful to already have many new applications submitted for the 2025-2026 school year so it is important to move forward now with completing your application if you have a child in your family that is not currently enrolled in Christian Academy. You will find the application here once you log in with your FACTS Family Portal credentials.

We’re looking for the right persons who have a heart for God and who can share His love with our 3 and 4-year-old students in our Junior Academy After-school Care Program. Hours are from 2:45 p.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday and candidates must be a minimum of 18-years-old.

Important Parent Information – The Anxious Generation
We asked and you answered!
We currently have over 160 parents across our system committed to reading Jonathan Haidt’s important book, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness, this fall. And we would love even more of you to join us. If you missed my first email, here’s the gist…
The book is making waves (in a good way) because it addresses an important issue that seems to be affecting everyone – our kids’ mental health. Haidt is a non-Christian (but faith-friendly) social psychologist so he relies on an evolutionary understanding of humanity and, though I disagree with some of his methodology, I agree with many of his conclusions. As parents (and educators), this is research that cannot be ignored. Honestly, every parent should read this book.
Over the summer we asked Christian Academy employees to consider voluntarily reading it and over 60 took us up on that with more starting since then. Now it’s your turn. I am looking for as many parents as possible to join me in reading The Anxious Generation this fall. It really is that important! There will be no small groups, no Zoom discussions and you will need to purchase the book on your own. We are asking for one commitment – that you attend a town hall meeting on your campus in December to discuss your thoughts on the book and how the information affects Christian Academy culture. CAL will meet on Monday, December 2, and CAI on Tuesday, December 3. I will occasionally share with you via your supplied email supplemental resources as I come across them.
