All students in kindergarten-8th grades will have achievement testing the week of April 16-20. Your child's teacher will communicate individual details for each class, but please click here for important reminders regarding attendance and being on time that week!

Urgent Need for Race for Education Volunteers!

Our annual Race for Education is the largest PTO fundraiser that we have each year. This is a day full of fun activities for all students in junior academy (preschool) through 8th grade. In order to make this day a success, we need YOUR help! Mark your calendars because Race Day is Monday, May 14! Please click here to sign up as a volunteer. If you can only help during a specific time that day, please note your available times in the comment box as you sign up. All volunteers will receive a free Race for Education tshirt. Campus Wide Day of Service, March 28

Please be in prayer for our kindergarten-8th grade students who will all be participating in a Campus Wide Day of Service in celebration of Easter. On Wednesday, March 28, all students in grades kindergarten-8 will be leaving campus to serve at the following locations:

  • Kindergarten – Brookdale Assisted Living Facility
  • 1st Grade  Essex Nursing Home & Rehab Center
  • 2nd Grade – Park Terrace Nursing Home
  • 3rd Grade – Symphony of Valley Farm Assisted Living
  • 4th Grade – Georgetown Manor Nursing Home
  • 5th Grade – Southwest Area Ministries
  • Middle School – Louisville Dream Center

Our kindergarten-4th grade classes will be singing and sharing time with residents at local nursing homes, our 5th Grade class will be assisting with Meals on Wheels volunteers at the Southwest Area Ministries and our middle school students will be serving at a community ministry center. 

A special thanks to our Parent and Community Relations Associate, Amy Koenig, for coordinating all of the details for this special day. A huge thanks to Miller Transportation for providing our transportation for 200 students and staff to be able to serve our community!

Honor the Cross Easter Service, March 29

Parents and families of junior academy (preschool) 4 through 8th grade students are invited to join us for our Honor the Cross chapel service on Thursday, March 29, in the Southeast sanctuary. The service will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude by 10 a.m. Please join us as we worship and reflect on Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross.

Junior Academy (Preschool) – Eighth Grades: Blossom the Cross

All students will help in blossoming our cross for Easter. Please send in one artificial flower for your student by Monday morning, March 26. From March 26-28, all classes will be spending time at our cross for their class devotions and students will attach their flower to the cross before it is displayed for Honor the Cross chapel service on March 29.

Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, March 21

We invite you to join us in a celebration for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, 2018!

Students may wear their Down Syndrome tshirt (if they ordered one) with jeans or they can also wear their tshirt from last year.

Show your support by wearing your CrAzY colored socks that day!

Father/Daughter Ball, April 13

Join us for an evening of Moroccan Majesty! Our Father/Daughter Ball will be on Friday, April 13, from 6:30-9 p.m. in the school gym. Registration and payment information are included here.

Finger food appetizers and dessert donations are needed. Helpers are needed for a photo booth, food tables and clean up. Please contact Tara Sahibi at tarasahibi@yahoo.com

Change for Christ Week, March 12-16!

During this week, students and staff will get to participate in themed dress days for a donation of $1 per day. All of the funds that we raise will go towards the Jackson Family as they serve God as missionaries in Southeast Asia. Mrs. Jackson is one of our former teachers! We have had Change for Christ Week for the last six years to give to the work of the Jackson Family, and our students and families have given over $10,000 towards their ministry! All dress needs to be appropriate.

Monday, March 12  Comfy Monday (appropriate pajamas or sweats)

Tuesday, March 13  Fad/Trend/Decade Day

Wednesday, March 14  Kentucky Day (anything Kentucky-related, not just UK or UofL)

Thursday, March 15 – Look Alike Day (dress like your favorite super hero, Bible person, teacher, etc.)

Friday, March 16 – Color Day: Middle school students will wear their team color for Math Madness and elementary students will wear either green for St. Patrick’s Day or class color/shirt.
