As you are aware, Rock Creek is blessed to have added the Providence School to our campus. This school, which began two years ago, serves students diagnosed with Down syndrome. This innovative program increases learning opportunities and fosters greater independence through inclusive classroom participation.
Parents, save your Box Tops to Education, Labels for Education and Tyson Project A+ labels. Cash rewards are paid for each label collected. Those rewards are used by PTO to purchase classroom items.
Don't miss the fun at Rock Creek's annual family festival. Grab a burger from Texas Roadshouse or a slice of Bearno's pizza for lunch. Take care of some Christmas shopping at the Silent Auction and Art Fair while the kids jump on the inflatables, get their face painted, and play games.
Every T-shirt day this school year, we will introduce new "surprise" items for sale to our students. These items are similar to the smencils we’ve sold in the past. Items will be priced at $1 or $2 per item.
This is a quarterly workshop taught by Mrs. Stewart that will focus on xylophone skills. Students in grades 2-5 will have the opportunity to improvise and even compose on the xylophones.

We are only a little over one month into school and have already had multiple instances of students being absent due to viruses, stomach flu, etc. There are already confirmed cases in Kentucky of the enterovirus 68, which affects the respiratory system in young children. This virus can be extremely serious and require hospitalization, especially for those who have asthma. Parents, We are excited to announce our Annual Fund Kick-off week, September 29 –October 3. Our goal for the 2014-15 school year is to raise $375,000, which will directly impact the students of Christian Academy. Annual Fund week will be filled with activities, food and promotional items for our students, teachers, faculty and parents.
