How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
– Psalm 133:1, NIV

Biblical Unity at Christian Academy School System is the pursuit of God-honoring oneness with Jesus Christ and Christlike oneness among all of our employees, all of our students and in all of our households – for God’s glory, for all of our good and for the sake of our surrounding communities.

Mr. Deon Parker

Director of Biblical Unity for Christian Academy School System

Mr. Parker grew up in the state of Michigan (and yes, he is a huge Michigan Wolverines fan and also a fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers). He was a 2004 graduate of Piedmont Baptist College (now Carolina University in Winston-Salem, NC). He has been married to his wife Julie since 2001, has five children and two grandchildren. (Two of his children are students at Christian Academy of Louisville – English Station.) Mr. Parker has spent nearly two decades in vocational Christian ministry as a Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Prison Chaplain, Rescue Mission Chaplain, College and High School Sports Chaplain, Christian School Teacher and Christian School Chaplain, before joining us as the Director of Biblical Unity for Christian Academy School System.

It is historically true that when God’s people from all backgrounds work together our world changes for the better. Biblical unity takes God, you and me.

At Christian Academy –

We pursue Biblical Unity at all of our schools, by striving to honor God in everything we do (spiritually, socially, academically, athletically, artistically, etc.).

We pursue Biblical Unity at all of our schools, by welcoming Christian students from every racial and national background to be a Christian Academy School System student. Please click here to see our school system’s 2022-2023 racial demographics and click here to read our school system’s 2020 Diversity Commitment.

We pursue Biblical Unity at all of our schools, by having weekly middle school “We Unify” meetings, and striving to have monthly high school “We Unify” events. These meetings and events give our students opportunities to gather together, band together, and strategize ways to display Christlike love toward everyone in their schools.

We pursue Biblical Unity at all of our schools, by having weekly Chapels (students collectively singing God-glorifying songs and listening to teaching rooted in God’s Word – the Christian Bible).

We pursue Biblical Unity at all of our schools, by offering a variety of team sports, led by Christian coaches, working together to pursue positive common goals.

We pursue Biblical Unity at all of our schools, by offering an annual 8th grade field trip to Berea, KY – highlighting and reflecting on the miraculous Biblically unifying work of Christian abolitionist pastor John G. Fee (1816-1901).
