Change for Christ Week, March 18-22

During Change for Christ Week (March 18-22), students and staff will get to participate in themed dress days for a donation of $1 per day.

All of the funds that we raise will go towards the Jackson family as they serve God as missionaries in Southeast Asia. Mrs. Jackson is one of our former teachers! We have had Change for Christ Week for the last seven years to give to the work of the Jackson family and our students and families have given over $17,000 towards their ministry!

All dress needs to be appropriate.

Twinsies Tuesday on March 19 (dress like someone else—friend, teacher, famous person)

Wacky Wednesday on March 20 (crazy hair and crazy clothes)

Throwback Thursday on March 21 (dress for another decade)

Feel at Home Friday on March 22 (pajamas, sweats, comfy clothes)

Celebrating and Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On the 90th anniversary of his birth, Christian Academy celebrates the words and ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as a man of faith in Christ, a man of faith in action and a man of love for others.

Today we pray pray for the unity of all people as we remember Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth and the unifying ideals of his faith.

Spelling Bee Volunteers Needed

We are in need of four volunteers to represent CAL-Southwest to help judge the spelling bee at Whitefield Academy on February 22, 2019. Our students will not be permitted to participate without volunteers. Please contact Jenelle Cummings at jcummings@caschools.us if you would like more information about possibly volunteering as the deadline is fast approaching.

Watch D.O.G.S. Still Needed

We are so thankful for the 35 dads and grandfathers who have served as Watch D.O.G.S. up to this point of the school year! This new program has been such a positive experience and we are thrilled to have so many families involved. There are still plenty of available dates for the remainder of the school year and we would love to fill as many of them as possible! Please contact Mrs. Wilson in the office at (502) 447-6500 or sewilson@caschools.us and we will get you on the schedule. If you have already served as a Watch D.O.G.S. and would like to serve again, we would love to have you back too!
