Nestled in the hills of southern Indiana, Christian Academy of Indiana’s beautiful campus shouts to the work and glory of God. The mission of developing students with a heart for God who grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and men, is woven into the fiber that designs the tapestry of this school. In 1999, with fervent prayer about the direction Christian Academy should take, following a unanimous vote of 13-0, the Board of Directors knew that the Lord had impressed upon their hearts the need to become a school system.
Within months of the Board’s decision, Northside Christian Church in New Albany approached Christian Academy about joining the school system. In 2000, Northside opened as part of the Christian Academy family, serving over 300 students in Preschool – 8th grade. In the fall of 2003, Graceland Christian School joined the Christian Academy School System, serving over 450 students in Kindergarten-12th grade.
Rich in heritage, the Indiana campus is composed of the sacrifice of many who have been committed to Christian education in southern Indiana. A new 60-acre campus, Christian Academy of Indiana, opened in the fall of 2005, combining the Graceland and Northside campuses into a single location, serving Preschool-12th grades. This merger provided the synergy and camaraderie to further advance the mission of educating children with a Biblical worldview, and developing students with a heart for God.
