As God continued to lay the call of expansion on the hearts of the Board of Directors, it became apparent that the Lord was encouraging a Christian Academy campus in the south end of Louisville.

In 2000, Christian Academy was presented with the opportunity to enter Shively Christian Church and begin a school.  Shively Christian Church provided space, free of charge, and also walked alongside Christian Academy leadership as school implementation began.  The church administration opened its doors to the education wing of their building, allowing ample room for school, and the opportunity to grow into as many as nine additional classrooms. The Southwest Campus, located in Shively, opened with 26 students in Kindergarten-2nd grade.

Through the miracle of God’s provision, a parcel of land was donated to meet future needs in the Southwest Jefferson County area. In 2005, ground was broken on a new Southwest Campus building, and opened in the fall of 2006, which the Lord provided through many generous donations and visionary leaders who had a heart for Christ-centered education.
