Students with a strong interest in engineering can earn a Diploma of Distinction after successfully completing the requirements for the Christian Academy of Louisville School of Engineering.

Requirements for Successful Completion

  • Submission of a Formal Application for Admittance

  • Minimum Club Membership of Two Years in NTHS (National Technical Honor Society), HOSA (Future Health Professionals), Rocketry, Robotics, Science Olympiad or Girls Who Code

  • Completion of Specified Science Classes

  • Completion of Four PLTW Engineering Courses

  • Annual Completion of Applicable Papers, Journals and Projects

  • 30 Hours of Service in an Engineering Field

  • 3.0 Unweighted GPA in all Core and Elective Science Classes

Course and Support Requirements

  • Four out of Five Engineering Courses

  • Pre-Cal or Calculus

  • Physics

  • AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus or AP Physics

  • Final Paper

*Preapproval of eligible volunteer hours by the Engineering Director is required.
**Exceptions due to transfer must be approved.
