A Transformational High School Experience
High school is a season of tremendous growth, discovery and preparation. As students begin to explore their interests, develop their gifts and consider their future, they encounter opportunities and challenges that help shape who they will become.
At CAL, we partner with families to help students navigate these important years with confidence and purpose. Through rigorous academics, meaningful relationships, spiritual formation, leadership opportunities, athletics, the arts, service experiences and college preparation, students are equipped to grow in wisdom, character and faith.
Our desire is that students leave CAL not only prepared for success in college and career but grounded in biblical truth, confident in their God-given abilities and ready to make a positive impact in their communities and for God’s Kingdom.
Academic Excellence with Purpose
CAL High School is a two-time National Blue Ribbon School (2010 and 2020) recognized for academic excellence. Students are challenged through honors, Advanced Placement and dual-credit coursework while receiving the support and encouragement needed to thrive.
More than half of our graduates earn Honors Diplomas, reflecting a culture that values both achievement and growth. Students consistently earn recognition through College Board AP Scholar Awards, the Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program and other academic achievements. They may also pursue specialized Diplomas of Distinction that align with their passions, talents and future goals.
Our faculty are committed to helping students reach their full potential, with nearly two-thirds of teachers holding master’s degrees or higher. With an average class size of just 20 students, teachers are able to invest in students personally while providing the academic challenge and support necessary for success.

A Community Where Students Are Known
At CAL, students are more than a number. They are known, challenged, encouraged and supported by teachers, coaches, mentors and peers who genuinely care about their growth and success.
Students have opportunities to participate in championship athletics, award-winning fine arts programs, student leadership organizations, mission trips, service projects, academic clubs, internships and weekly chapel services. These experiences help students build confidence, develop character and strengthen their faith while creating lasting friendships and memories.
The result is a community where students are encouraged to pursue excellence, discover their purpose and grow into the leaders God created them to be.
Preparing Students for What’s Next
CAL students graduate prepared for success in college, careers, military service, ministry and beyond.
Through rigorous academics, personalized college counseling, internships, community service experiences, leadership opportunities and dual-credit options, students develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive after graduation.
Our graduates consistently earn millions of dollars in scholarships and attend respected colleges and universities, enter military service, pursue skilled trades and answer calls to ministry and service.
