  • Powder Puff games are on Monday, November 25…9th vs 10th from 7-7:45 and 11th vs 12th from 8-8:45.

    COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

    • A Memorial Event will be hosted by Camberwell Grief Sanctuary, called With Lights and Love.  This will be a time for families of loved ones to come together during the holidays and remember their loved ones.  Those that have Memorial Trees will have a time to decorate and light their loved one’s tree. Volunteers are needed on December 1st to decorate the grounds and string lights.  We are also in great need of donations of solar string lights like the ones found here:  Amazon Link Service hours will be offered to those who can volunteer.  Please contact Kelly Parrish at 502-887-0307 or email kelly@camberwell.org for more information.     COUNSELORS: 

    • In National Honors Society?  There is a scholarship opportunity available to you, which must be completed by November 26th at 5:00 pm.  See the NHS Canvas group for details on the application process, or reach out to Mrs. Sublett at vsublett@caschools.us.
    • The KY Federation of Republican Women grants a $1,500 college scholarship to a senior girl who has been politically active within the Republican Party. The applicant will be a registered Republican and plans to enroll in an accredited college in KY in 2025. Deadline to apply is March 31, 2025. 
    • Are you taking the December ACT?  It’s not too late to register for an ACT Prep Class with Educational Resources, which begins on November 17th. To register, go to ertutorlouisville.com
    • SENIORS interested in a Culinary Arts degree–Johnson & Wales University is excited to launch the 2025 Future Food Scholarship, with two categories: sweet and savory.  The top two scholarship winners will receive full tuition for four years. Students placing 2nd-4th in both categories will receive $5,000 scholarships, renewable for four years.
    • Christian Academy has provided you with access to Methodize, an online course that helps students build their ACT skills.  This self-paced prep program can be built around your schedule. There are a total of 25 hours of preparation, consisting of evaluation tests, full-length tests, a vocabulary builder, and additional resources.  Students who use Methodize to study for the ACT have increased their scores, on average, by 3 or more points.
