Spring Break

Local Day Trips
Students will work with various local ministries in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Each day we will meet at CAI and travel together to a ministry partner in our area. We may spend the day landscaping, cooking and serving breakfast to our area’s homeless population, playing with international children, leading kids in Bible stories, cleaning up homeless camps, cleaning and organizing clothing ministries, etc. Students are encouraged to participate in all five of these trips, but sign up for each one individually, which makes this option ideal for families that travel during part of the spring break time.

These trips are open to all middle and high school students. The cost is nominal.

La Paz, Honduras
The chief purpose of the Honduras mission trip is evangelism and service as we join our ministry partner in La Paz, Honduras. The specific work done will vary depending on the skill set of our team, as well as the needs expressed by the church and in the community. In the past we have spoken to groups of children in schools, served children in orphanages, led evangelism events at the police academy, delivered food to homeless people and participated in worship with the church.

This trip is open to all high school students. The cost for this trip is around $1,800.

Summer

Dominican Republic
Students will travel to the Dominican Republic and work with an organization called Score International. This trip typically involves leading Vacation Bible Schools in the villages but may also include sports activities or construction work. Score International partners with local pastors to connect the people we minister to with a Bible believing church.

This trip is open to all high school students, including those who have completed 8th grade and will be entering high school at the end of the summer.

The cost for the trip is around $1,900.

Poland
Students will travel to Poland and partner with Proem Ministries in a weeklong kids camp. Our chief purpose is evangelism and service. Students will lead the campers in various workshops, clubs, sporting events and activities and assist them with English language acquisition. The Gospel message is clearly presented to the campers throughout the week and our students have the opportunity to share their story of Faith as they build relationships with the campers. Students will also have opportunities to tour historical sites including the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz.

This trip is open to all high school students, including those who have completed 8th grade and will be entering high school at the end of the summer.

The cost for this trip is around $2,400.
