CAL Missions Week 2025 – Kingdom Backpacks
We are so excited to launch Missions Week 2025: Kingdom Backpacks! Our school theme this year asks, “How do we honor God by ensuring that all are seen and known?” This project is our chance to live that out in a powerful way.
In partnership with Orphan Care Alliance (OCA), our students will collect much-needed items to fill brand-new backpacks for foster and adoptive children in Louisville and Southern Indiana. These backpacks will be more than just practical – they will be reminders that each child is known, seen and loved by us but even more importantly by Jesus.
Plus, throughout the week students will watch short videos (Mon–Thurs) that teach how the Lord fully sees, knows and loves us – and why we are called to share His love in word and action. They’ll also create notes and drawings to tuck inside the backpacks, adding a personal reminder of God’s love.
What to Bring:
Each grade has been assigned one specific item to donate. Items can be dropped off in the designated spots at school throughout the week.

Our Director of Biblical Unity, Mr. Deon Parker (along with a handful of other Christian Academy employees) will be leading joint CAI and CAL field trips for 8th Graders to Berea, Kentucky; for High Schoolers to Cincinnati, Ohio and High Schoolers to Nicholasville and Wilmore, Kentucky this Fall. We have only 15 student spots from each school for each field trip. So, if your student would like to participate in one of these wonderful trips, please register and pay as soon as possible. Pick up a registration form from your school office and make payment by clicking the correct link below.
High School Field Trip to Cincinnati, Ohio (Holocaust and Humanity Center, National Underground Freedom Center, Chick-fil-A, etc.)
- Friday, October 24, 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- CAI and CAL (15 Spots are Available for Each School)
- Wear any school shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
- $40 Fee (Does Not Include Lunch)
- Important: Returned registration form and submitted payment secures your spot. First come, first served.
High School Field Trip to Nicholasville and Wilmore, Kentucky (Asbury University, Camp Nelson, McDonald’s, etc.)
- Wednesday, October 29, 6:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- CAI and CAL (15 Spots are Available from Each School)
- Wear any school shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
- $20 Fee (Does Not Include Lunch)
- Important: Returned registration form and submitted payment secures your spot. First come, first served.
8th Grade Field Trip to Berea, Kentucky (Berea College, Downtown Berea, Buc-ee’s, Chick-fil-A, etc.)
- Tuesday, October 21, 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- CAI and CAL (15 Spots are Available from Each School)
- Wear any school shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
- $20 Fee (Does Not Include Lunch)
- Important: Returned registration form and submitted payment secures your spot. First come, first served.
The goal of these trips is to highlight historic examples of Biblical unity in American history and to teach cautionary lessons about the societal consequences of choosing not to love God and people well.

Join Our Providence School at Down Syndrome of Louisville’s Kindness Warrior Walk, October 4
Christian Academy’s Providence School would like to invite you and your family to join us in celebrating the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their accomplishments. The event will take place at The Waterfront Festival Plaza on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Please meet us on this day for the Kindness Warrior 5K Walk benefiting Down syndrome of Louisville (DSL). This is a great way to start your morning and show support for a wonderful cause.
This is a fun event for the family to enjoy. Connect with us as we start the walk together as a team to show our support for this great organization that has partnered with Providence School from the start. We will have a table with our Christian Academy and Providence signs. Please come and find us. We look forward to seeing you there!

ALL IN Week is September 15-19
We’re thrilled to announce our ALL IN Campaign!
From September 15-19, our entire school family will come together for ALL IN Week, a week full of encouragement, celebration and school spirit!
Here’s what’s happening:
Sweet Surprises for Teachers – Our teachers will be showered with homemade cookies and cool Christian Academy swag as a small way to say thank you for the big impact they make every day.
ALL IN Spirit Day – Watch our teachers unite in their ALL IN tshirts, reminding us that when we come together amazing things happen.
Elementary Bookmark Contest – Winners from both campuses will be announced and every elementary student will receive a beautiful bookmark designed by the winner. All bookmark entries will be strung in front of the elementary library for display the remainder of the school year. Our elementary students love finding their bookmarks with friends!
If you walk through campus, look for the ALL IN Teacher signs and discover ways you can support this meaningful campaign that blesses both our teachers and students.
