IMPORTANT: English Station High School Textbook Return Process – Deadline May 24
Can you believe another great year at CAL is almost over? Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in educating and loving your children. It is time to wrap up courses and that means final exams and the return of textbooks.
Your student will begin receiving emails at their school account from the Media Center in May. The emails will show all library books, fines (incurred during the year for copies, late books, lost books, etc.), textbooks and Chromebooks currently checked out to them. They must return the materials that match the barcodes in the email.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us collect all resources in a timely and smooth manner. Any item checked out which is not turned into the Media Center by May 24, will incur a nonrefundable fee equaling the total of the item(s) not returned and fines not paid, even if the items are returned after this date. This fee will appear on FACTS and will trigger grades and transcripts to be held until the balance is paid.
Textbooks are always collected during the week of finals. Before each final in May, students should check in that textbook to the Media Center. Students will leave the books in the Media Center and we will make sure they get back to the correct classroom.
Please Carefully Review the Following Guidelines for Textbook Return:
- Damaged Textbook: If the textbook is damaged in any way, (ripped pages, water damage, etc.) your FACTS account will be charged the replacement value of the textbook. Do not order a replacement book. We have special rates and binding and need to make sure the correct edition will be purchased.
- Lost Textbooks: Students MUST return the textbook that was assigned at the beginning of the year. There is a barcode on the cover of the book that should match the barcode in the emails sent to the student’s “castudents.us” address. If the textbook is lost or has the wrong barcode, you will be billed through FACTS, triggering a hold on grades and transcript. You must either return the book by May 24, or pay the replacement value to release the hold.
- Clean: Please remove all papers and book covers prior to the turn in date.
Thank you!
IMPORTANT: English Station High School Chromebook and Charger Collections
As we wrap up the 2023-2024 school year, the Technology Department will only be collecting devices from the senior class and students who are not reenrolled for the 2024-2025 school year. Rising freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be keeping their Chromebooks and chargers during the summer months.
The deadline for Chromebook and charger collections for all senior class students and any student not reenrolled for the 2024-2025 school year is May 24. Any senior or nonreturning student that does not turn in their CAL issued device to the Technology Department by this deadline will incur a nonrefundable charge in FACTS of $240 for the missing equipment.
Collection of Chromebooks is always completed during the week of finals. When students have taken their last final in May, they simply need to deliver their Chromebook and charger to the Media Center to be collected by the Technology Department.
Collection Time Frames are as Follows:
- Seniors, May 13-24 (Mornings)
- Other Nonreturning Students, May 21-24 (Mornings)
Please Carefully Review the Following Guidelines for Chromebook Return:
NOTE: We accept checks made payable to CAL, credit cards and Apple Pay as payment.
- Damaged Chromebooks: If a Chromebook is damaged in any way, including but not limited to screen damage, keyboard damage or case damage, please come prepared to pay the $70 damage deductible. Technology can only accept damaged equipment along with the $70 damage deductible at the time of return.
- Chargers: Students must have their charger at the time of Chromebook return. If the charger is missing or damaged, please come prepared to pay $30. Technology will only accept the Chromebook with either a working, school issued, Dell branded charger or the $30 payment.
- Clean: All personal stickers will need to be removed from the Chromebook prior to return. Chromebooks will not be accepted with anything other than school issued barcode stickers. Please do not remove the Christian Academy property barcode from the device.
Thank you for your assistance!
