Care for Your New Chromebook!

Exciting news! All Christian Academy of Louisville – English Station and Christian Academy of Indiana High School (9th-12th) students have been issued brand new Chromebook devices this year! Every student has been personally instructed on the proper care of their device and given an instruction sheet with repair costs in the event that damage does occur to their new Chromebook.

Families ~ Click here for the information sheet so that you, as parents/guardians, also have the proper information to help your student care for their new Chromebook this school year.

Thank you for your partnership!

New to English Station Families – Join Us for Coffee & 10, August 26

Parents new to Christian Academy’s English Station Campus –

It’s a whirlwind stepping into a new school. We know you have been sent enough emails to fill your inbox. While there is so much to learn, we want to be sure to personally connect with you in a relaxed atmosphere where there are no registration lines or FACTS forms to fill out! That’s why “Coffee and 10” was created. It’s some time to join us, meet parents, have a cup of coffee (or something else) and a treat while spending a few minutes hearing from someone within Christian Academy. Our “10” minute speaker on August 26, will be Adrienne Crosby, Director of Development for Christian Academy School System.

Would you join us on Friday morning just after dropping your child at school? Current CAL family Jeff and Kelly Saing have kindly offered to host us at their Middletown restaurant Simply Thai located at 12003 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40243. In addition, we’ll have Kim Morrision, also a current CAL parent and business entrepreneur of The Hygge Gathering, creating a cozy, inviting meeting space.

Please let us know you are coming by RSVP’ing here.

IMPORTANT Upcoming Events at CALMS – Picture Day and Parent Night

Picture Day
We are looking forward to another great year of school pictures! We will be taking fall portraits on August 24. Click here for picture day dress code guidelines. All order forms are due the day pictures are taken. Orders placed after that are subject to a late fee and may be delayed. Your middle school student will be bringing home an order form in the next few days. You may also order online here when you receive this email.

Parent Night
We would like to invite you to “Be a Student for the Evening” at our CALMS Parent Night, August 25. This evening is for parents/guardians only, no students please.

We will begin in the auditorium at 6 p.m. We then will move to your student’s Connect class where you will receive your student’s schedule along with some other important sign ups. You will follow your student’s schedule through their RED day and BLUE day classes so that you can meet each teacher.

As a reminder, this evening does not offer time for individual conferences. Those will be held Wednesday September 28. You are always encouraged to reach out to your students’ teacher through email or a phone call if you would like to meet individually.

Please feel free to call the office at (502) 244-3225 if you have questions.

Eastern Kentucky Disaster Relief Drive, August 22-26

Can you imagine 6-10 feet of water rushing into your home? It’s almost unfathomable and yet our brothers and sisters in Eastern Kentucky were met with this disaster almost two full weeks ago.

Our mission partners in Lynch, KY have reached out in desperate need of help. Starting next Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, we are going to host an Eastern KY Disaster Relief Drive. Check out this brief video from our Director of Missions, Ace Hubbard.

Click here for a list of needs and locations where you and your child can place your donations. Donation bins will be available in the Elementary, Middle and High School offices as well as our Main Entrance.

Should you have any further questions, please contact Ace Hubbard at ahubbard@caschools.us. Thank you in advance for continuing to love others like Jesus.
