This past Friday and Saturday the track team continued its assault on the record books. Skylar Stidam and McKenna Cavanaugh, apparently not happy with their recently set records, went ahead and broke them again. Skylar ran the 1600m in 4:28.46, after stopping on the course to help a fallen competitor, and then on Saturday ran the 3200m, beating Borden’s U of L signee Julian Manganelles, in 9:38. McKenna Cavanaugh again broke the 1600m record by running a 5:12.03.

While the track team has been strong in the distance events this year they now have a record setter in the sprints. Senior Brittany Albert added her name to the record books by breaking the 100m and 200m records.
