#57 Chad Meredith and #97 John Popovich, class of 2013, are on athletic scholarships playing football for OVC member Southeast Missouri State Redhawks. Chad and John attended class this summer on campus and worked out with the team during this time. The hard work and dedication paid off for our boys, with Chad listed as second string weak side linebacker and John listed as second string left defensive end. Southeast Missouri traveled to Oxford, MS on Saturday, September 7th to battle SEC foe Ole Miss. Chad and John both saw action on the field in front of a hostile sellout crowd, with Popovich seeing extended playing time and Meredith collecting two tackles, one for a loss. The Redhawks represented themselves well against the Rebels, losing 31-13.
