OTT/DEWEY BREAK SCHOOL RECORDS at Indiana Wesleyan
Indiana Wesleyan men’s and women’s indoor track and field made a bigger splash in week two of their season, earning six NAIA A standards this past weekend, competing in the Jet’s Pizza Invitational on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
The meet was highlighted by Steven Ott, who broke the 14-year old school record in the mile with a time of 4:09.75. The record was previously held by Josh Foss who ran a 4:11.45 in 2008. In addition, In her first meet as a Wildcat, Addi Dewey took down an 18 year old record in the 3,000 with a time of 10:13.47. The previous record was held by Katie Bloomquist who ran a 10:24.68 in 2004.

OTT BREAKS ANOTHER SCHOOL RECORD, WILDCATS GRAB THREE NAIA A-STANDARDS
For the second consecutive meet, Steven Ott etched his name in the Wildcat record books, this time in the 800m. Ott ran a blistering 1:52.38, besting previous record-holder Josh Neideck (2019) by one second. Ott set the school record in the mile last week.
Together, the Indiana Wesleyan men’s and women’s track programs collected three NAIA A-standards, bringing their season total to 10.
