Chad Meredith/Outside Linebacker – Southeast Missouri State Redhawks – OVC Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Chad Meredith matched a career-high 10 tackles, added two tackles for loss and posted three quarterback hurries in a 27-10 victory over the Murray State Racers. He helped key a defensive unit that held the high-octane MSU offense to just one touchdown. He made one of the most important defensive plays of the game when he tackled Racers receiver Jeremy Harness for a 10-yard loss on a reverse attempt on fourth down with 5 minutes, 17 seconds remaining. It was one of three fourth-down stops for Redhawks.
