We are excited to welcome Spencer Scarth as the new head coach of our high school swimming program!

Coach Scarth brings an impressive background as both a coach and an athlete to CAL. He’s coached at a variety of levels, including six years at NAIA power Milligan University. While at Milligan, he was named the national coach of the year in 2024 and conference coach of the year nine times, among several other honors. Prior to coaching, he earned NCAA All-American honors twice while also competing in outdoor track at St. Olaf College. 

A Louisville native, Coach Scarth moved back to the area last year and plans to enroll his oldest child at CAL next year. His family currently attends Southeast Christian Church. 

His goals for the upcoming season are to build a strong team culture and sense of community, while also growing the team’s roster numbers. We look forward to seeing our athletes grow and thrive under his leadership for years to come.
