CAL jumped out to an early lead on the Glasgow Scotties on their way to a 53-12 victory. The win sets up a rematch with the team from across town this Friday night at home.

Glasgow won the toss and elected to receive. As has been the custom the last few week the defense welcomed the Scotties to Centurion field when Jake Paulson, Scotty Krantz and Nick Olsofka combined to sack quarterback Dessi Austin on the games second play. 

After the teams exchanged drives CAL scored first when Austin Carr handed the ball to Tanner Lopez who took it to the house for a 16 yard score. The Eric Quintin PAT was good, CAL 7 Glasgow 0. The Defense then added a touchdown when Logan Young intercepted the Austin pass returning it 19 yards. The PAT was good CAL 14 Glasgow 0.

Carr connected with Lopez in the 2nd qtr. for a 7 yard score. After the Kick, the score was CAL 21 – Glasgow 0. The Defense stepped up again when Cal Lewellyn intercepted the Scotties pass. Three plays later Carr hooked up with Paulson for a 34 yard score. The kick was good, CAL 28 Glasgow 0.

Glasgow was able to get on the scoreboard with a 56 yard, 7 play drive in the 2nd qtr. to make the score 28-6. CAL quickly struck back when Carr hooked up with Clay Davis for a 62 yard score down the visitors’ sideline. CAL 35- Glasgow 6.

Glasgow then took the ball and went 78 yards on 10 plays to make the score 35 -12. CAL offense was not done and before the half the team moved the ball 65 yards on 4 plays cumulating with Carr rolling to his right and finding Nick Weaver in the back of the end zone for an 11 yard score. At the half the score was 42-12.

In the second half, Eric Quintin added a 32 yard field goal to put CAL up 45 to 18. The offense followed this up with one more score with Anteneh Thompson carrying the ball 5 times and scoring on a 37 yard run. Final score CAL 52 – Glasgow 18.

The defense limited Glasgow to 172 yards on 9 first downs. Defense harassed the Glasgow offense all night with pressure coming from Scotty Krantz, Jake Paulson and Nick Olsokfa. Centurions had a season high 475 yards of offense with 23 first downs.
