Congratulations to Nathan Bader, who signed a letter of intent to play football at Georgetown College. Bader played soccer at CAL his freshman year before making the switch to football his sophomore year.

“We didn’t see this coming. Nathan has played every sport but never thought we’d be signing for football,” said Nathan’s father, Lawrence Bader. “Ever since he put his foot on a football field he’s played varsity and that makes me very proud.”

“I have been so impressed with Nathan’s work ethic and contribution to our team. There is a lot of pressure on the kicker. Fans are either really for you or really against you depending on how you perform,” said CAL head football Stefan LeFors. “I wish Nathan the best of luck and he will always have a home within the CAL football program.”

“After visiting several schools, I ultimately chose Georgetown because it’s a beautiful college where I know I will get a good education. Also, I will get to play football for four more years,” said Nathan.

Nathan concluded the signing ceremony by thanking his parents, teammates, and Coach LeFors. He plans to major in biology and is excited about being the punter for the Georgetown Tigers.
