CAL Athletics is pleased to welcome Cameron Pridemore as our new head girls’ basketball coach.

Pridemore has coached basketball for 8 years and has been the head girls’ basketball coach at Tipton Rosemark Academy in Millington, TN for the last three years, where he also taught high school history. Pridemore was 67-20 in his 3 years at Tipton Rosemark and posted a 25-5 season record last year, advancing to the final 12 in TN (Division 2).

When the job at CAL opened up, I saw a special opportunity to help girls grow not only as basketball players, but as Christians, students and people,” said Coach Pridemore. “CAL has that same desire throughout the entire school and its athletic programs. The environment and culture around CAL make it a special place to work and coach.”

“We are excited about Coach Pridemore joining our coaching staff. He brings a great passion for developing players and understands the strengths of our program," said CAL Director of Athletics, Brad Morgan. "Cameron’s experience working at a school with youth programs, along with being able to have him be full time in the building, makes for a great fit for our school and our girls’ basketball program."

“The goal for this year’s team will be to continue to build on the success that the Lady Centurion basketball program has had in the past,” said Pridemore. “My vision is to consistently be a program made of high character players who love the Lord, love their teammates, and love playing the game of basketball. I want all of our teams to consistently be known as tough, fundamental teams that play hard, smart, and entertaining basketball.”

Cameron and his wife, Sydney, will be relocating to Louisville this summer and both will be joining the CAL middle school teaching staff for the 2019-2020 school year.

“I look forward to not only coaching and building the CAL girls’ basketball program, but also becoming part of the Louisville and CAL community!” said Pridemore.
