Christian Academy of Louisville is pleased to announce that John Anderson will be the new head girls’ lacrosse coach. Anderson replaces Stewart Bailey who stepped down after coaching for four years.
Anderson has been involved with CAL lacrosse since the program began in 2008, including the last four years as the high school assistant coach.
“There is a new found excitement that has been building over the last several years due to the mentoring program that has occurred along the way thanks to a lot of hard work by many dedicated individuals,” said Anderson.
CAL Director of Athletics, Darin Long said, “John’s years spent with the lacrosse program here at Christian Academy has prepared him for the role of head coach. His love for this school and our student athletes makes him a great fit.”
“As CAL Lacrosse moves into its 6th year, there are great things that lie ahead for those who are willing to work hard and make the necessary sacrifices. Since our predecessors have now laid a solid foundation, it’s up to the next generation of student-athletes, coaches and parents to take the sport to another level of respectability,” said Anderson. “I look forward to being a part of such a great growth period unlike anything we have seen in decades.”
The Christian Academy of Louisville lacrosse program began as a single club-team and has now grown to a feeder program that starts as early as 5th grade.
