Christian Academy of Louisville rising first – sixth graders for the 2026-2027 school year are invited to join us June 15-19, from 12-1:30 p.m. in the elementary music room (124). Captains, Castles and Capes: Where Heroes Become Stars! is directed by Dr. Jeanie Hoover, Elementary Music and Performing Arts Club Director.

In this drama workshop that focuses on skits and characters, students will explore their imagination through high-energy theater games, creative movement, music and engaging warm-ups that build confidence and teamwork. Each day, campers dive into fun themes like swashbuckling pirates, magical fairy tales and daring superheroes as they create and perform short skits, design simple props and bring characters to life. With a focus on expression, storytelling and FUN, every child will have a chance to shine – whether they love being in the spotlight or are just beginning their acting journey. This workshop will be different from “Drama Boot Camp” so students may choose to participate in both to make a full day.

If a student is participating in both drama camps and would like to stay in between the two camps each day, they may sign up for lunch hour. Students should bring a sack lunch and a drink but will be supervised by Dr. Hoover. Alternatively, if someone from either of the two drama camps would like to stay an extra hour or come an hour early, and have lunch with the others, they could sign up for the lunch hour.
